The state-of-the-art scan.art image recognition combined with the inventory management tool creates an all-in-one solution for Artists, Galleries, Collectors and organizations. Scan.art allows users to scan artworks with their smartphone to receive digital price and artwork information.
Scan.art is based in Graz, Austria, but works with art fairs, art galleries and artists all over the world.
Scan.art Web App
Visitors of participating art fairs, art exhibitions, art galleries and other art events will be able to use the scan.art web application for free. To access the scan.art application, scan the QR Code at the entrance of the exhibition you are visiting, or enter the scan.art exhibition link in your browser and start scanning artworks.

Only artworks which are added to the scan.art database and added to an exhibition on scan.art are scannable through scan.art. Before scanning artworks on scan.art, users have to select the participating exhibition where they want to scan artworks at.
Yes! If you have an exhibition coming up, or simply want to experience scan.art with your own artworks. You can do that by signing up to scan.art and uploading your artworks to the scan.art inventory system. Your artworks will then be scannable.
To make your own artworks available to scan through the scan.art web application, please register with scan.art and select one of our paid plans.
All the information about artworks, artists and art galleries visible through the scan.art web application was added to scan.art by artists, art galleries, collectors or businesses who own the displayed artworks or represent the owners of the displayed artworks.
Security and Data Privacy
Artworks uploaded to your inventory are only visible to others if they are added to an exhibition and made scannable for the public. Your inventory is only visible to you.
Scan.art relies on secure cloud services from Amazon Web Services to secure account, artwork and artist data.
Scan.art does not share sensitive data with other companies! Check our terms of service for more information.
Any artwork you uploaded to scan.art or profile you create on scan.art can be deleted if you wish to do so.
Submission Invitations
If you received a submission invitation to an exhibition, event or art fair, you were invited to scan.art to submit artworks which you are planning exhibit. Follow the invitation link in your email and start the submission process by creating your profile and adding the artworks. The submission process is free of charge!
Your submitted artworks will be scannable for visitors of the event you submitted them to. After the end of the event, your artworks will remain in your personal scan.art profile but will not be visible to anyone else.
If you were invited to submit your artworks to scan.art, then you don't have to worry about any charges. The submission process is free of charge for Artists and Galleries!
You can use the scan.art inventory for free until the end of the event you submitted your artworks to. However, you are not able to create and host your own events with scan.art unless you register for a paid plan.
Yes! You can edit your submission anytime after submitting your artworks until the end of the exhibition you submitted to. To edit your submission, simply click on the link you received per email, or sign in to scan.art with your email and password. Then go to the submissions module.

To use all the features that scan.art has to offer for Artists, you need to sign up for one of our paid plans. If you receive an invitation to submit your artworks for an exhibition with scan.art, you can use the scan.art inventory system for free until the end of the exhibition. After the exhibition, your free trial will end and you will have to purchase a premium plan to continue using the different scan.art features.

No! Depending on the size, duration, number of exhibitors, number of exhibited artworks etc., scan.art charges a flat rate fee for art fairs. This includes features like the submission process, the web application, detailed analytics, advertisement before and during the art fair, as well as many other great and useful features.
Scan.art has developed an easy-to-use submission system which allows art fairs to bulk invite exhibitors to scan.art. Each exhibitor will be guided through the submission system. This leads to standardized information as well as work for employees of the art fair.
