Introduction
The following terms and conditions govern participation in the 2024 scan.art International Emerging Artist Competition. Understanding and complying with these terms and conditions is a prerequisite for successful participation in the competition.
Eligibility requirements and limits
The 2024 scan.art International Emerging Artist Competition is open to all artists over the age of 18, regardless of their origin, nationality or cultural affiliation. The conditions of the competition focus exclusively on artistic creation and compliance with the established rules regarding the ownership of the submitted artworks (see „Ownership rights to artwork submissions“). Any discrimination based on origin or other personal characteristics will not be tolerated. The competition encourages artists from all backgrounds to contribute their creative talents on an equal footing and to take advantage of the opportunity to present their work to a wide audience.
Participants in the 2024 scan.art International Art Competition for Emerging Artists will be able to submit up to three artworks per person. This fixed limit serves to structure the organisation of the competition and to ensure that each individual work of art is properly evaluated. The limit of three works per entrant allows for diversity of participation and ensures that the quality and impact of each work can be given due consideration.
Categories
The 2024 scan.art International Emerging Artist Competition includes four categories, including painting, photography, mixed media and drawing. Participants will have the opportunity to submit their creative work in these categories. All individual forms of expression within these defined categories are welcome.
